- +o For information about the video control panel options
- for the Indigo2 IMPACT Video board, refer to Chapter 4
- of the Indigo2 IMPACT Video Owner's Guide.
-
- +o For OCTANE Digtial Video video control panel options,
- please refer to refer to Chapter XX of the OCTANE
- Digital Video Owner's Guide.

- +o When locking graphics to video (frame lock) set the
- timing on the video device before using setmon to
- change the graphics timing table. If the video device
- timing is changed after the timing table is changed,
- the X-server will hang and must be reset.

-
- +o The inputs to OCTANE Digital Video or IMPACT Video
- should not be disconnected while they are being
- displayed on the screen by applications such as
- Videoin.
-
- If the inputs are disconnected, subsequent video-to-
- screen or screen-to-video applications may perform
- unreliably, sending / displaying corrupt video. To
- remedy this condition, kill and restart the video
- daemon (videod). This will re-initialize the OCTANE
- Digital Video or IMPACT Video device to a default
- state.

-
- +o When a gfx to video path and a video to gfx path are
- used simultaneously, the video output may contain a
- line from the video input in the vertical blanking area
- (line 1).

-
- +o When screen drain 2 (Window C) is used with zoom
- (VL_ZOOM) 1/7, the video displayed in windows B and C
- will contain horizontal streaking.
-
- +o If screen drains 1 and 2 (Window B and Window C) are
- both used, their Y origins (VL_ORIGIN) should be
- identical, or they should not overlap at all. If they
-

- overlap imperfectly in the Y direction, a horizontal
- line may appear in Window B corresponding to top of
- window C.
-
- +o If the horizontal or vertical size of a screen drain is
- less than five lines tall or five pixels across, other
- screen drains may display garbage. While it is not
- possible to set the size smaller than 5x5 using
- vlSetControl, the automatic window placement and
- constraining logic may result in smaller windows.
-
- +o If multiple screen drains are used and one of the
- drains is zoomed up, the window constraining logic may
- incorrectly place / size the zoomed window (i.e. it may
- overlap with another window). This results in the
- displayed video not matching the size and/or location
- of the window.
